A minor plinth in Leeds names Victoria Cross holders born in Leeds. The IWM website records a link to the New Zealand wars is not specific: most likely the plaque names Edward McKenna, a Leeds-born soldier who was awarded a VC by the Crown for his actions at Camerontown in 1863.
