Te Teoteo's pā was a disused fortification reoccupied by Māori forces in 1863 to repel advancing colonial troops at the outset of the Waikato war. It was abandoned in August 1863 and colonial troops established the neighbouring Whangamarino redoubt.
A short historical walk to Te Teoteo's pā managed by the Department of Conservation is accessible from the base of Oram Road near the bridge over the Whangamarino river.
